Department of neurosurgery, Kathmandu Model Hospital have encouraged foreign neurosurgeons and residents to visit, work and share the knowledge & experience and recent neurosurgical technologies. Many renowned neurosurgeons as well as residents from different university and institutes across the globe have already left their foot prints out here. And most have visited this department more than once. Professor Kaoru Kurisu has visited and shared the knowledge in this department in multiple times since 1997. Another of our frequent visitor is Professor Kazunori Arita. Professor Tomokatsu Hori, Prof T Taira from have visited and worked with us on epilepsy and functional surgery. Prof Kanno Prof Yoko Kato from Fujita University, Japan has already visited twice and shared his knowledge. Dr. Nina Lin from USA Harvard University worked as volunteer researcher in research Neurocysticercosis. We are also running resident exchange program among different universities and institutes all over the world.

The volunteers had good experience about the cases which are only seen in this part of world and also enjoyed recreational activities like mountain flight, mountain sports, and sight seeing, trekking in the Himalayan Regions and visiting historic places, a part of world heritage.

We are always looking forward to increase the number of institute for this resident exchange program and we have strong belief that, this sort of program benefits the entire involved institute as well as the residents themselves. All those who are interested to be a part of it are requested to contact us at info@neurosurgery.org.np with all the details.
