deals with the cases of brain tumor with the latest
imaging and microsurgical techniques. Mostly encountered
malignant lesions include glioblastoma, anaplastic
astrocytoma, germinoma, metastases, and CNS lymphoma.
Many benign tumors are also seen at KHM,
including acoustic schwannomas, meningiomas, pituitary
adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, ependymomas, colloid
cysts, and choroid plexus papillomas. When surgery is
not curative or appropriate, chemotherapy, radiotherapy
often recommended. |
